The Manager of Guest & Event Services is the first point of contact for guests and members of the John A.
Halter Shooting Sports Center of Hillsdale College.
This individual will be responsible for range scheduling, point-of-sale services, reservations and booking, and a variety of other office-related duties.

Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for members and guests coming to or calling/emailing the range.
Provide information on the weekly shooting schedule, programs offered, range availability, facility history/information, etc.
Redirect inquiries to proper departments on campus as necessary.
Provide point-of-sale service for targets, ammunition, equipment rentals, memberships, apparel, facility, and meeting space rental, cottage room rentals, apparel, and miscellaneous items.
Inventory management for apparel and other consumables.
Keep a shared calendar updated for staff regarding public and college guest outings, miscellaneous one-off events, annual, monthly, and weekly events and leagues, member and public appointments, instruction, corporate outings, etc.
Coordinate the schedule of space rentals and manage simultaneous use of various event/guest areas for full range utilization, coordinating with all appropriate campus departments while advocating for various service department standard operating procedures and event planning requirements.
Reserve/book facility space and cottage reservations and necessary turn-around times.
Coordinate internal bookings of the same for large groups and events and oversee including and/or passing off requesting party to appropriate service department, AV, Hillsdale Dining Services, etc.
Build and/or edit information for products, classes, event registrations, memberships, etc.
Pull various reports as necessary, generate, and send customer emails.
Adjust room setup/floorplan per customer requests and/or catering banquet event orders, schedule catering on behalf of customers when needed or supply internal buffet and staffing on request, assist in coordinating AV requirements, coordinate outside vendors/rental equipment as needed, provide food for staff meals at times, purchasing and providing beverage breaks and snack items for various groups as requested, and other tasks as required to fulfill event related requirements.
Gather daily mail, submit check requisitions for payables due, reconcile credit card charges for two corporate cards, create pay later invoices and process payments when received, submit inter-departmental charges for internal programs and goods sold, purchase operational supplies as needed, and submit work orders and order inventory items via maintenance direct as required.
Submit month-end financial reports and cash out with the Business Office.
Monthly review of payables applied to Halter budget and submission of corrections for all items not applied properly.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience A high school diploma is required for this position with three years of prior experience in retail, customer service, and/or office management.
Knowledge of the firearms and shooting industries is preferred.

Must maintain an acceptable attendance record, be punctual, and meet deadlines.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
